[ Shit. Shit. He'd thought that relocating to a place in the middle of nowhere might have been a bad idea if they weren't going to sedate Izumo, but the doctor had insisted and Shima doesn't go out of his way to speak out of turn.

It's just that if she tried to escape, he'd probably be the one who would have to go find and apprehend her. While her spirit seemed to have been broken down after her foxes had been taken from her, Shima wasn't so foolish as to believe she had given up completely.

They didn't even decide to cover their bases and moved him to a different helicopter. Not that he wanted to sit in the same cramped space as Izumo and have her either avoiding looking at him entirely or just staring him down with all the hatred she could afford.

It isn't long until he receives a frantic call from the doctor shortly after they'd reached the general area of their destination. Apparently the girl had jumped out of the helicopter when she thought it was low enough to the ground -- and she made it down there alive, thanks to the cushion of the snow. But with how she's dressed now, there was no way she could even survive for more than a few hours before she got frostbitten. They had to act fast if they wanted to find her in time.

Shima lands first, along with a few others they had been assigned to the relocation mission. Because he knew her best, he was the best hope they had in finding her quickly. It was already close to nightfall and they were losing light. All he had on him was a flashlight and a pair of snowshoes. He would have asked for supplies in case they did end up staying out here longer than originally anticipated, but he was too nervous. He just had to take what he was given and complete his task. ]
